The brand new section for Bing's ClaimReview says "ClaimReview annotations should be used to convey that the page contains fact check information. This may be used to display enhanced captions on Bing that help convey this information to users."

Bing said that when you use this tag for content and your articles, it is important that the page fulfills with the characteristics of sites:

  • Contains claims and fact checks that may be recognizable. Clients need to be able to comprehend what information was assessed and what conclusions were reached.
  • Citations and references must be transparent and present, such as references to main data sources. The label has to be representative of this very fact checking done inside the article.

Aaron Bradley first spotted this change and said he thinks "Bing will start to annotate search results with a fact check information." Bing has not declared anything but that's the logical next step.
