Watford has not won against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge since 1986.
Chelsea have lost three of their first eight games of the season. No team has ever lost much of their opening eight matches and still won the Premier League title.
The Hornets have won 10 points from a possible 12 from home this season (W3 D1 L0).
Michy Batshuayi scored in his second encounter with Watford last season while Etienne Capoue was the only player in 2016/17 who scored at home and against Chelsea.
Watford remained without Younes Kaboul and Sebastian Prodl (both thighs), plus the long-term absence of Craig Cathcart, Nathaniel Chalobah and Isaac Success (all knees).
What the managers say:Marco Silva: "We're really in the first eight games but it's too early, everything is changing fast and you need to go ahead and treat the next game as the most important."
In matchday tomorrow will be led:
Referee: Jonathan Moss
Assistant: Simon Bennett, Andy Halliday
The fourth official: Andre Marriner
