Premier League Champions (Last Season), Chelsea Returned to Victory in Matchday 9 Premier League

Chelsea did not swallow defeat when entertaining Watford at Stamford Bridge. In the last 31 years, the Blues, nicknamed Chelsea, can always get points from the opponent.

Both teams meet in front of full supporters Chelsea fans in the Premier League continued action on Saturday (21/10/2017). Chelsea haunted the results are less satisfactory at the beginning of this 2017-2018 season because it is not superior when playing at Stamford Bridge.

The last time Chelsea humiliated Watford occurred in the last week of the English League season 1985-1986. At that time, The Hornets conquered Chelsea with a conspicuous score 5-1 at Stamford Bridge.

The game at Stamford Bridge started with a fast tempo. Both teams are equally featured open where the first 10 minutes of both teams attack each other to score goals.

After a few attempts, Chelsea finally broke the deadlock in the 11th minute. Winning one goal makes Chelsea more confident in attacking. Five minutes later Chelsea had a golden opportunity after Cesc Fabregas escaped from Watford defender's back. Faced one on one with Gomes, Fabregas fired hard, which unfortunately can be ignored by Gomes.

The dominance of Chelsea's attack continued until the 30th minute. They got two ripe chances from a hard shot of Pedro and David Luiz but unfortunately the ball headed right into Gomes's arms.

Watford itself is not without resistance. They were able to press Chelsea after 30 minutes of the first half. Watford's golden opportunity occurred in the 31st minute through Tom Cleverley's scoreless free kick, but unfortunately his kick was read by Courtois and managed to edge.

Watford's relentless effort ended up producing sweet fruits in first-half injury time. Through a corner kicking scheme, David Luiz successfully dispels the ball. But unfortunately the ball header that fell at the feet of Abdoulaye Doucoure and the Frenchman was successfully fired a shot that tore goalkeeper Courtois. 1-1 score lasted until halftime.

Thanks to this victory Chelsea managed to climb to 4th place by collecting 16 points while Watford had to drop one rank to rank 5 with Raihan 15 points.
