Manchester United will travel to Basel, St. Jakob Park on Thursday (23/11), to continue the positive trend in the Champions League. In this match, Manchester United need only a draw to ensure a place in the top 16 phase.

Basel has big hopes to qualify for the last 16 because their current points are the same as CSKA Moscow and are on goal difference. In the domestic league, they are also good results with a 5-1 win against Sion after three previous games lost.

Manchester United only need one point to get through to the round of 16 because until now they wiped out all points from four matches. This is certainly beneficial for Manchester United, but they still need a victory to keep the trend positive, and the return of Pogba, Ibrahimovic and Fellaini, Jose Mourinho has many options to rotate his team.

PLAYER PREDICTIONS

Basel will not be reinforced Taulant Xhaka for this match because of a suspension, this is a pretty tough blow for Basel considering that this one midfielder has an important role. In addition, Ricky van Wolfswinkel is also in doubt, but it seems he will recover on time.

At Manchester United, Phil Jones certainly will not perform because of injury while defending England in a friendly match. So is Michael Carrick who has not recovered. However, the return of Fellaini, Ibrahimovic and Pogba is a big boost for Manchester United allowing Mourinho to do some rotation.

Basel: Vaclik, Lang, Suchy, Akanji, Riveros, Die, Zulfi, Steffen, Elyounoussi, Bua, van Wolfswinkel.

Manchester United: Valencia, Lindelof, Smalling, Darmian, Fellaini, Herrera, Lingard, Eyes, Martial, Lukaku.

KEY PLAYERS:

Ricky van Wolfwinkel

Van Wolfwinkel has scored seven goals from nine appearances for Basel in the league this season. But he got injured when they won 5-0 on Basel 28 September. Now he is in the recovery phase and is likely to perform in this match.

Romelu Lukaku

After a slick appearance in a friendly with Belgium, Lukaku ended his goal drought, the former Everton striker also ended his goal-level drag at the club level with a goal against Newcastle. So it's probably not wrong to say that Lukaku scored more easily when Paul Pogba was there. However, in this match, Pogba does not seem to be playing because he has just recovered or when playing will not be a starter or play full time.

Manchester United are predicted to win by a score of 2-1, what about your prediction?
